The construction of this guitar (the signature model of Mick Thomson of the American metal band Slipknot) consists of a mahogany body and a single-piece maple neck with graphite bracing. This solution has a positive effect on the sustain of the instrument. The ebony fingerboard is fitted with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets. Its combined radius flattens towards the body - allowing both comfortable riff playing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shred in higher positions.
Two signature Mick Thomson humbuckers from Seymour Duncan with high output provide the instrument's sound with the necessary fullness, dynamics and precise articulation even at lower tunings, while also providing the density and aggression for ultra-fast guitar shred and sharply chiseled metal riffs. The volume potentiometer and three-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by the string attachment in the MTB HT6's fixed adjustable headstock and the company's Die-Cast tuning machines. The guitar's stylish design is accentuated by the Arctic White body and headstock colour scheme and contrasting black binding.
For several decades now, electric guitars from the American Jackson brand have appealed primarily to musicians from metal, metal/core, HC or djent bands who profess a loud sound with a more or less diluted dose of aggression, as evidenced by the company's roster of players. However, the radical metal design can also enchant adventurous musicians from the completely opposite musical spectrum, as evidenced, for example, by Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote, who in turn clearly prove that the sound of Jackson instruments can make its way into genres built on a clean, warm, sound.
