The Cort CR300 is a single-cut electric guitar with an attractive design that is sure to appeal to young aspiring rockers and experienced, technically skilled players alike.
The mahogany body of the instrument is adorned with a 15 mm wide maple top. Adjoining the glued, also mahogany, neck is a fingerboard made of jatoba wood, known as Brazilian cherry, fitted with twenty-two frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by position blocks.
Two PAF pickups inspired by EMG's renowned RetroActive Fat 55 humbuckers provide the guitar with a full, warm, tone that can evoke the sound of the 1950s and 1960s era as well as beautifully carry ultra-fast solos in a hi-gain setting. Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used to adjust it. Fitting the strings in the strings via a fixed Tune-O-Matic bridge ensures optimal transmission of string vibrations to the body of the instrument. The traditional look is enhanced by the chrome hardware with vintage-style tuning mechanisms, bright binding and company logo on the headstock.
