ESP Vulture is the signature model of James Hetfield, leader of the world famous Metallica. The guitar catches the eye at first glance with its original design based on the Flying V concept and satin black colour. Its body is made of mahogany. The glued, also mahogany, neck with a narrower Thin U profile is joined by an ebony fingerboard with twenty-two Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by mother-of-pearl markers with a distinctive design motif on the twelfth fret.
Two active EMG humbuckers provide the instrument's sound with the necessary fullness and precise articulation for vocal solos or chord breakdowns, while also providing density and aggression for ultra-fast guitar shred and sharply chiseled rock and metal riffs. Other quality components used include a solid Tonepros Locking TOM headstock and truss rod, Gotoh locking mechanisms and Schaller rolls.
The guitar comes in a case with a certificate of authenticity.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and its satisfied customers include Kirk Hammet, James Hettfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera.
