In this particular case, it is a signature model of guitarist Alex Skolnick, known for his work in the thrash metal formation Testament, but also for his completely different direction in the jazz trio Alex Skolnick Trio or side fusion projects like Attention Deficit.

The guitar catches the eye at first glance with its flamed maple top with Black Aqua Sunburst finish and contrasting bright binding. The body itself is made of mahogany. A three-piece maple neck with a set-thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deep into the body, and a pleasing U profile is joined by a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by mother-of-pearl blocks with a distinctive signature motif on the twelfth fret.

Two Seymour Duncan EMG passive signature humbuckers provide the instrument's sound with the necessary fullness, precise articulation and great dynamics. Sound adjustments are made with two volume potentiometers (for each pickup separately), a push/pull tone control that allows you to split the pickup coils and achieve a single-coil sound, and a pickup switch lever. Other high quality components used include the original Floyd Rose double reverse tremolo, Grover tuning machines and Dunlop rolls. Tuning stability when using the tremolo lever is guaranteed by the locks on the zero fret, which, like all hardware, are in a stylish chrome finish.

The guitar comes in a case with a certificate of authenticity.
