This E-II Horizon NT-7 seven-string electric guitar impresses at first glance with its contrasting black body design and distinctive bright binding. The body of the guitar is made of alder. A three-piece maple neck with a Thin U profile is joined by an ebony fingerboard with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by mother-of-pearl position blocks.
Two active EMG humbuckers provide the instrument's sound with the necessary fullness and precise articulation for vocal solos or chord breakdowns, as well as density and aggression for ultra-fast guitar shred and sharply chiseled rock and metal riffs. Other quality components used include the Evertune model F headstock, which compensates for string tension during plucking and sharper playing to ensure the guitar stays in tune, Gotoh Locking mechanisms and Schaller rolls.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984, and its satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera.
