The guitar's front board is made of solid Sitka spruce, the back board and sides of plywood. This gives the guitar a sonorous, frequency-balanced sound and good dynamic response for both punchy and very quiet, mellow playing.
The guitar's mahogany neck is glued to a Micarta composite fingerboard with twenty frets, orientation is traditionally facilitated by position markers. The strings are held in Grover's high quality open nickel action with Butterbean pegs and a micarta fingerboard. The zero fret and compensated bone saddle ensure ideal vibration transmission of the strings. The stylish design is accentuated by the imitation tortoiseshell pickguard, decorative rosette, binding with black and white lines and inlay with herringbone pattern and logo on the headstock.
