Oscar Schmidt OG2CE are affordable electroacoustic guitars with traditional "western" dreadnought body suitable for beginners and experienced musicians. Their large body guarantees good resonance and a powerful sound.
The layered body of this guitar is composed of a top made of flamed maple with a characteristic nice grain and a back and sides made of overlaid mahogany. The mahogany neck, standardly attached to the body at the 14th fret, is joined by a fingerboard made of a modern composite material. The lower body cutaway offers a comfortable fit even at higher fretboard positions, and orientation around the fretboard surface is traditionally facilitated by position markers.
The strings are mounted in die-cast chrome mechanics. The nice workmanship is emphasized by the peripheral binding with imitation mother-of-pearl tabs, rosette composed of imitation mother-of-pearl rings and black and white lines and a practical pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell.
Sound pickup and amplification is taken care of by a Barcus Berry sub-coil piezo pickup and preamp with four-band EQ (Bass, Mid, Treble, Presence) and built-in tuner.
