The AER Compact Classic pro is a practical combo especially designed for players of classical instruments. Compared to the standard Compact 60 series, it benefits from a two-way speaker system (eight-inch double-diaphragm woofer and one-inch tweeter), a more complex three-band equalizer with parametric bass, and a digital effects processor with carefully set presets for classical instruments.
This is a single-channel combo with two instrument inputs (combined XLR/jack and jack). The combined input allows you to plug in a microphone or another acoustic instrument. The sensitivity of the instrument input signal can be adjusted by the six presets present. A three-band equalizer and a bandwith switch are used to adjust the sound.
The combo includes a built-in digital effects processor. It offers sixteen presets specifically tailored to the needs of acoustic instruments. you can choose from two types of reverb effects and delay/chorus effects. Of course, you can also connect external pedal effects to the combo via an effects loop. Use the Pan knob to specify which channel to apply specific preset integrated and external effects to, or you can combine their sounds. This gives you plenty of options to enhance the sound of an acoustic instrument or vocal and add another sonic dimension.
On the rear panel, the combo offers an effects loop input/output and outputs for footswitch, tuner or headphones. Two stereo L/R outputs allow you to connect active external speakers to the combo, and the Insert jack can be used as an additional line in/out or to connect the combo to AER instruments equipped with Insert jacks. The symmetrical DI output sends the signal from the combo directly to a mixing desk or recording device. Use the aux in input to connect a CD/Mp3 player or other audio source to the combo. This way you can support your performance with background music. The combo also offers the option of phantom power, the standard power supply is provided by a EURO mains cable. All AER combos come with a padded case.
