The D-15M Streetmaster acoustic guitar is based on the classic D-15M dreadnought model with a significant change in the form of an "aged" finish on the body and headstock. It is a great choice for active musicians, buskers and enthusiasts alike - simply for anyone who desires a well-crafted instrument with excellent sonic qualities.

The entire body of the instrument, i.e. the soundboard, back and sides, is made of solid mahogany. The guitar's sound thus has less piercing and sparkle than instruments with spruce tops, for example, but it excels in warmth and full, rich tone. The standard X-type ribbing, which was developed by Martin in 1850 and is still used by most manufacturers today, ensures a full, solid, guitar sound.

The mahogany neck, which is attached to the body at the fourteenth fret as standard, features a catalox fingerboard fitted with twenty frets. This wood is commonly used to replace ebony, which it also resembles in colour. The white markings make the fingerboard easy to navigate, which you will certainly appreciate when performing in backlit environments. A compensated bone saddle set on a catalox headstock gives the strings, along with a bone fret zero, great resonance and sustain. The resulting vintage look of the instrument is accentuated by nickel tuning machines and pegs in cream white.

The American Martin company, founded in 1833, is deservedly one of the biggest and most respected names in stringed instruments. For decades, it has been one of the leading innovators in guitar design and manufacturing technology. However, to use only the past tense would be a great mistake; instruments with the Martin logo are still today among the guarantees of the highest quality in craftsmanship and sound. In addition, their current products use "eco-friendly" components made from renewable resources and composite materials. We find it quite unnecessary to mention the performers who use these instruments in this context - also, we guess, you don't bring wood to the forest.
