The EHX Canyon from Electro Harmonix is a compact digital delay/looper that has more to offer than meets the eye. It has eleven sound modes, including emulation of the legendary Memory Man effect, tape echo, octave delay, shimmer and looper with a maximum track length of up to 62 seconds.
By setting the Feedback, Delay and FX Level controls, you determine the basic parameters of the delay effect, i.e. delay time ranging from 5 ms to 3 seconds, the number of effect repeats and the volume of the processed signal (in the fully left rotation only the clean/dry signal goes out, in the reverse only the wet). The useful tap tempo function can be controlled via the footswitch box or an external switch. The phrasing time interval is selected by the Tap/Divide switch, the selected interval (quarter note, eighth note with dot, eighth note) is induced by the LED colour. Holding the Tap/Divide switch longer activates the secondary functions of the Delay and Feedback potentiometers. The internal Tails switch can also be used to choose between reverberating the effect even after the pedal is turned off, or muting it immediately.
Selecting Loop mode and depressing the footswitch activates the Looper, which allows you to play, layer, overdub and erase your tracks. The recorded loop remains in memory even after you switch to one of the delays.
The included adapter is used to power the effect.
