Ibanez guitars from the S (Saber) series have been in production since 1987, making them, along with the RG and JEM models, one of the company's longest-running models, which is certainly a testament to their popularity. Their main advantage is the double-sided body, which gives these guitars high playing comfort and a comfortable weight. The Prestige designation denotes Japanese-made models and very high quality workmanship and materials.

A mahogany body with an oak veneer top forms the basis of this guitar's dense sound. The bolt-on neck with Super Wizard HP profile is composed of five pieces of maple and walnut and reinforced with KTS titanium bracing. Twenty-four jumbo-sized frets with rounded ends (Prestige fret edge treatment) divide the Ebony Makassar fingerboard surface.

From a pair of DiMarzio The Tone Zone and Air Norton humbuckers, complemented by a True Velvet middle single with Alnico magnets, you can expect a dynamically rich and warm sound with infinite sustain that's great with a five-position toggle switch. Further tone color adjustments are possible with the volume control and tone shutter.

Thanks to the Lo-Pro Edge's low-profile double-return tremolo, locks and tuners, the strings will hold their tuning even with frequent use of the tremolo lever. Of course, zero fret locks and precision tuning mechanics are standard.
