Jackson's history dates back to 1970, intersecting with the turbulent rise of hard music styles rooted in metal. Metal players immediately took to these instruments and to this day Jackson guitars are designed especially for them. Legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads (Ozzy Osbourne) has a hand in this, as he and Jackson designers drew the Concorde guitar design on a paper napkin in the early 1980s, redefining the look of the metal guitar forever.

The surface of the neck is semi-gloss.
The sound is handled by a pair of high-output Jackson humbuckers, a three-position toggle switch and volume and tone controls. The tone is thus not only dense, but highly variable.
Aggressive players will appreciate the double-locking tremolo (Floyd Rose Licensed Jackson Double Locking), zero fret locks and precision tuning mechanics. This configuration ensures stable tuning no matter what happens to the strings.
