You'll always recognize Ovation acoustic guitars at first sight. They have a typical arched body made of a special Lyrachord material. This is not only very durable, but also provides the guitar with sufficient volume and acoustic strengths. In addition, it is ergonomically shaped so that the guitar fits well in your hand.

The faceplate of the Celebrity Elite Plus CE48P-KOAB model from the Celebrity Elite Exotic series is made of layered exotic koa with a nice pattern embellished with Dark Burst finish. The resonance of the top is enhanced by the placement and shape of the laser-cut sound holes and the reduced X-shaped ribbing of the front plate. The rest of the cabinet is an arched narrow body (Super Shallow) made of hi-tech Lyrachord material, which maximizes volume and all positive acoustic phenomena.

Another interesting feature is the bevelled fingerboard design, which offers seventeen frets on the thickest bass string, while six more frets are available on the thinnest string. The strings themselves are mounted in an ovangkol fingerboard and enclosed company die-cast mechanics. The instrument's stylish design is accentuated by the decorative soundhole tabs on the soundboard and the ivory imitation body binding.

The guitar is equipped with an OP-4BT preamp with three-band corrections and a built-in tuner.
