In the case of this bass guitar based on the Artstar series, it is the signature model of renowned jazzman George Benson.
The front of this guitar is made of spruce wood, while the sides and back are made of veneered maple. The neck is glued to the body and consists of three pieces of maple and exotic nyatoh wood. It is fitted with an ebony fingerboard with twenty medium-sized frets that have a special finish.
The sound of the instrument is captured by two proven Super 58 humbuckers with Alnico magnets. The pickups can be switched between with a three-position switch to connect both together or separately. Two each of the volume and tone controls are used to further shape the tone.
The strings are anchored in a wooden stringer and pass through a solid Gibraltar Artist fingerboard. Bone has been used to make the zero fret. There is a pickguard over one of the "F" holes. The hardware is in gold finish.
This instrument is an ideal choice if you are a lover of jazz, blues and traditional concepts of sound and instrument. For your money in this case, you get a really high quality guitar.
