All speakers are constructed from high quality, multi-ply, poplar plywood, glued and screwed together and internally arranged so you can hear everything you want to hear from your instrument. All materials and components used are selected to be as high quality as possible while being as lightweight as possible.
Markbass was one of the first companies to incorporate neodymium magnet speakers into their boxes. Their advantages include, besides good sound reproduction, the fact that they are extremely strong and therefore can use a significantly lighter magnet than conventional speakers. This brings us to the biggest advantage of Markbass boxes - despite their high power output and great sound projection, they are among the lightest speakers on the market - an undeniable advantage. All boxes also include a bassreflex, which is located either on the front or back of the cabinet.
Markbass New York 122 Ninja
Who doesn't know Richard Bona. He was the one who was involved in the creation of this particular speaker. That's why the New York Ninja has a very full but specific sound, with controlled depths and clear highs, but never veering into cheap, cutting positions. Moreover, thanks to the 8 Ohm impedance, it's no problem to plug these boxes in two at once, giving you a very decent stack that will have no problem playing any size stage. It's a hilarious box that, thanks to two 12-inch speakers and a custom horn, sounds exactly as it should: perfect.
