ENGL Artist Edition E651

It all started in 1996 when ENGL started working with Ritchie Blackmore. Later, the Engl E650 amplifier was born. This version is based on it, the concept of which was to create a simple amplifier with maximum power. The continuity with the legend is evident in every detail. In addition, the amp was tuned by hard-rock guitarist Doug Aldrich. Jimmy Page, Ken Hammer, Vivien Campbell, Paul Stanley and Scott Gorham, to name a few, all have this amp in their rehearsal room or studio.

The front of the amp is designed in the exact spirit of Engl. The classic chunky grille with logo and glowing tubes behind it. The controls are quite minimalistic. Behind the guitar input is a clean channel potentiometer and a Bright button. Next comes the Lead control, 3-band EQ, Hi/Low Gain switch, Shape button and Presence and Volume potentiometers. At the very end are two Master controls for the clean and distortion channels. The power of the amplifier is equivalent to 100 W. It is provided by 4 ECC83 tubes in the preamplifier and 4 EL34 tubes in the final amplifier.

On the rear side we find an input and output for an effects loop with Balance control, S.A.C. port for Z-9 footswitch, 3x 1/4 stereo inputs for Noise Gate connection and a combination of outputs for speaker connection (1 x 4, 1 x 8, 2 x 8, 1 x 16, 2 x 16 Ohm).
