This instrument falls under the SR series, offering one of the traditional forms of Ibanez basses since 1987. The characteristics of these instruments are certainly the massive ergonomically shaped body with two cutouts that allow perfect accessibility to all positions, the pleasantly thin neck that contributes to a really comfortable playing, the careful selection of the woods and hardware used, the great versatility of use and, most importantly, the great sound. The GIO version offers instruments where the aim is to offer the highest quality at the lowest possible price.

The bass has a body made of exotic okoume wood, a maple neck and a jatoba fingerboard. The gauge is 864 mm, the width of the zero fret is 54 mm and the radius of the fingerboard is 400 mm.

On the fingerboard we find 22 medium-sized frets. The bridge is marked B16 bridge and the sound is provided by two Dynamix H pickups.
