As for the LCT 840, it is a tube microphone with truly versatile use - it can handle vocals, choirs, piano, guitars, drums, percussion, cymbals, other stringed instruments, instrumentation, winds and brass. Designed primarily for the studio environment, it won't let you down live. Thanks to the use of electronics, its sound is very warm and natural, as you may know it from vintage calypso recordings.
In addition to its versatility, its strengths are its ease of use and very precise sound recording, to which all technical parameters are adapted. The goal here is a clear and natural tone, very low susceptibility to feedback, shielding of ambient sounds and zero distortion. Some parameters can be set directly on the microphone, with the settings visualized by backlighting, and the buttons are designed so that switching does not make any sound. In addition, the microphone will slightly mute itself in extreme situations to make recording truly error-free.
The microphone body is all-metal, with a metal grille covering the head. A holder, windproof cover and leatherette case are included.
