The Gretsch G9500 Jim Dandy Flat Top acoustic guitar is based on the Gretsch "Rex" parlor concept from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s and embodies everything a "first" guitar should offer in a musician's life.
The body of the instrument is made of laminated linden. Attached to the nato neck, which is attached to the body at the twelfth fret, is a walnut fingerboard fitted with eighteen frets. The good resonance of the body is supported by traditional X ribbing, and orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by position dots made of imitation mother-of-pearl. The strings are attached via a zero fret and a compensated synthetic bone saddle in open-gear die-cast mechanics in a 1950s vintage design and walnut fingerboard. The guitar's stylish look is accentuated by a 2-Color Sunburst finish, nickel hardware and perimeter binding, and a single-ply pickguard in Aged White.
