AKG C214 Stereoset

The AKG C 214 is an all-new microphone based on the design of the legendary C414, which has been in production since 1971 and is a powerful tool for thousands of sound engineers around the world. It is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with a 1" gold-plated diaphragm in a spring-loaded suspension, designed and built for the widest range of professional applications. It is designed not only for recording studios but also for live applications. It is particularly useful for capturing vocals, wind and string instruments, percussion and guitar combos. The microphones' electronic circuits are designed with an emphasis on high dynamic range, completely balanced frequency response across the entire bandwidth and very low self-noise. The C 214 has an all-metal, highly durable body with a high-quality steel mesh. It features switches, PAD (0/-20dB) and a bass filter at 150Hz (-6dB). It has a gold-plated XLR connector. The microphone requires a phantom power supply ranging from 12 to 52V.
