Roland Acoustic Chorus is a series of transistor combos designed specifically for acoustic guitars, possibly accompanied by a microphone or other signal source. Their design is based on Roland's experience with the legendary Jazz Chorus, only everything is tailored to give the sound the strengths of acoustic instruments.
The AC-33 is a model equipped with an end-amplifier capable of delivering 2x 15 watts of power, which is then converted into sound by two 5-inch speakers. With mains power via an adapter or batteries, the AC can be used virtually anytime, anywhere. It offers two channels, the first for guitar and the second for microphone or other signal source.
The controls are located on the top panel. For the guitar channel there is, of course, a built-in input, a volume control and then also a 3-band equalizer consisting of Bass, Middle and Treble. It is possible to activate the stereo chorus, in Space or Wide modes. The microphone channel includes a 6.3 mm Jack line input in addition to the XLR input. Here too there is a volume control and behind it this time a 2-band equalizer, i.e. Bass and Treble potentiometers. The chorus can also be switched on for this channel.
In the master section, in addition to the Master Volume, there is also a built-in Reverb control. The AC, of course, includes anti-feedback. A unique feature is the inclusion of a looper with a 40 second memory. This too can be controlled on the top panel.
The rear of the unit contains inputs for footswitches, which can be used to control the looper, reverb and chorus, in addition to a power jack. There are also stereo Line-Out and Aux-In in stereo 3.5mm Jack and stereo RCA.
