VC 30-112
The VC series is a series offering more vintage-oriented combos, which is of course combined with modern technology and wider sonic possibilities. The result is an instrument that will not be lost in any musical trend. Specifically, the VC 30-112 is a full-range, Class A speaker that can deliver up to 30W of power. Inside are four EL84 power tubes and three ECC83 preamp tubes. A single 12-inch Seventy 80 loudspeaker from the renowned Celestion company takes care of transforming power into sound.
If you look at the control panel, you will find two inputs for your guitar. This is so that the unit works optimally with instruments with passive and active pickups. The controls are pretty standard - Clean Vol for adjusting the volume of the clean sound, Drive Vol and Drive for adjusting the distortion and volume of the distortion channel, and the common Bass, Mid, Treble, Reverb and Effects Level controls for adjusting the level of the effects loop. In addition, there's a Bright switch for brightening or sharpening the sound.
On the rear panel, you'll then find the usual elements, namely an effects loop input and output, a dual footswitch input for switching channels and turning off reverb, and two speaker jacks. One connects the internal speaker as standard, the other is used to connect an external speaker. It is possible to switch between a total load of 8 or 4 Ohms, while the impedance of the internal speaker is 8 Ohms.
The Laney VC30 is a very interesting combo for any fan of live tube tone. Maybe small, maybe simple, but all the more handy apparatus.
