This Telecaster is the signature model of rock 'n' roll guitar legend James Burton, who has played and collaborated with the likes of Elvis Presley and Ricky Nelson.
The body of the guitar is made of linden. The finish in the form of polyurethane lacquer guarantees a long life/gloss of the lacquer and the chosen colour finish. The maple neck with a "'60s U" profile is considerably more solid than modern fast thin necks. The maple fingerboard surface is divided by twenty-one Vintage Style size frets and position dots.
Three signature single-coil pickups give the guitar a distinctive James Burton tone that is ideal for classic rock 'n' roll, rockabilly or country. Volume potentiometer, tone controls and a five-position Strat-O-Tele switch are used to adjust the sound. The instrument's sonic flexibility is extended by the built-in S-1 switch, which can be activated to change the pickups to serial (in switch positions 2 and 4).
The strings are mounted across the faux bone fretboard in gold-plated Deluxe Cast/Sealed mechanicals with mother-of-pearl pins and a solid gold-plated six-saddle cob with string anchoring through the body of the instrument. The guitar's stylish look is accentuated by the Blue Paisley Flames body design and signature company logo on the headstock.
