The body of the guitar is made of alder with a glossy polyester lacquer finish. A rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-one Medium Jumbo frets is glued to a bolt-on maple neck with a pleasing Mid-1960s C profile.
The guitar's three Vintage Style single-coil pickups give the instrument a pure blues Strat sound and feel. Two tone controls, a volume potentiometer and a five-position pickup switch are used to adjust it.
The strings are held in place via a faux bone fretboard in closed tuning machines (Vintage Style) and in a solid headstock and through the body of the instrument. The stylish look of the guitar is accentuated by the company's signature logo on the headstock, chrome hardware and a three-layer pickguard that also protects the lacquer from scratches.
The guitar comes in a deluxe gig bag.
The Fender Artist line offers signature models of electric guitars and basses from famous musicians who have made an indelible mark on the history of rock music.
