The guitar catches the eye at first glance with its distinctive polka dot design, reflecting the artist's long-standing stage dress code. The body of the guitar itself is made of alder covered with a glossy polyester lacquer. The maple fingerboard is fitted with twenty-one Medium Jumbo frets. The Soft V neck profile offers a slightly rounder shape compared to the traditional ´50s V.
The guitar is fitted with three standard single-coil pickups, giving the instrument a classic blues/rock sound. Two tone controls, a volume potentiometer and a five-position pickup switch are used to adjust the tone.
The strings are mounted over a faux bone fretboard in closed tuning machines (Vintage Style) and a traditional single-turn synchronized tremolo. The stylish look of the guitar is accentuated by the signature logo on the headstock and a three-layer pickguard, which also protects the lacquer from scratches.
The guitar comes in a deluxe gig bag.
The Fender Artist line offers signature models of electric guitars and basses from famous musicians who have made an indelible mark on rock music history. To name a few, Eric Clapton, Ritchie Blackmore, Steve Ray Vaughan, Mark Knopfler, Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson, Jimmie Hendrix, Dave Murray, Roger Waters and Flea from RHCP.
